L’Alliance Française d’Arabie Saoudite est le centre culturel français pour l’enseignement du français et la promotion des cultures francophones. L’Alliance entretient des liens étroits avec l’ambassade de France et fait partie du réseau mondial des Alliances Françaises (816 centres), reconnu internationalement pour la qualité de ses services d’enseignement. Le réseau Alliance française a été fondé à Paris le 21 juillet 1883 et la fondation Alliance Française à Paris coordonne ce réseau mondial.
L’institution née en Arabie Saoudite en 2010 et basée à Riyadh, Djeddah et Al Khobar accueille chaque année plus de 2.500 étudiants, francophones et francophiles, avec pour objectif principal de les former à la langue française et de leur donner l’occasion de découvrir la langue et la culture française. L’Alliance Française donne des cours collectifs, privés, de français général ou sur objectifs spécifiques (FLE/FOS) au sein de ses centres mais également d’entreprises et d’institutions publiques locales. En 2019, l’Alliance Française a également ouvert une représentation à La Mecque, en coopération avec la chambre de commerce. Une seconde antenne (annexe) a également été ouverte dans la ville de Riyad (Exit 5, en face de l’école Kingdom).
Dans l’optique de consolider et de formaliser le niveau linguistique des étudiants, l’Alliance française propose également des certifications et des examens reconnus par le ministère français de l’éducation, par le Centre International d’études pédagogiques et par la chambre de commerce de Paris (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF). L’Alliance Française est en outre le seul centre reconnu dans le royaume pour la passation de ces examens.
L’Alliance française est également un véritable centre culturel proposant des activités culturelles diversifiées. À titre d’exemple, en 2017, l’Alliance française a organisé 39 événements (internes et externes) pour un public de 1 600 enfants et adultes, à Riyad, Djeddah et Al Khobar. L’Alliance Française soutient également le service culturel de l’Ambassade de France dans la réalisation de sa programmation culturelle chaque année.

The Alliance Française in KSA : learning French and the French culture in Saudi Arabia
The Alliance Française is a unique cultural network created in 1883, and currently has more than 816 centers in 136 different countries
The Alliance Française of Saudi Arabia is the French cultural center for teaching French and promoting Francophone cultures. The Alliance has close relations with the French Embassy in Riyadh and is part of the worldwide network of Alliances Françaises (816 centers), internationally recognized for the quality of its teaching services. The French Alliance network was founded in Paris on July 21, 1883 and the Alliance Française Foundation in Paris coordinates this global network.
The institution born in Saudi Arabia in 2010 and based in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar welcomes each year more than 2,500 students, Francophones and Francophiles, with the main objective to train them to the French language and to give them the opportunity to discover French language and culture. The Alliance Française gives group, private, general French or specific objectives courses (FLE / FOS) within its centers as well as companies and local public institutions. In 2019, the Alliance Française also opened a representation in Mecca, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce. A second antenna (annex) was also opened in the city of Riyadh (Exit 5, opposite the Kingdom School).
In order to consolidate and formalize the language level of students, the Alliance Française also offers certifications and exams recognized by the French Ministry of Education, the International Center for Pedagogical Studies and the Chamber of Commerce Paris (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF). The Alliance Française is also the only recognized center in the kingdom for the coordination of these exams.
The Alliance Française is also a cultural center offering diversified cultural activities. For example, in 2017, the Alliance Française organized 39 events (internal and external) for an audience of 1,600 children and adults in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar. The Alliance Française also supports the cultural service of the French Embassy in carrying out its cultural program each year.
